Happy to see Gary V. getting fired up about the 3-tier system!

Yes, we here in Texas are especially interested, given Gary alluded to some changes in direct shipping in our state!

Gary V buys his wine from wholesalers - he has gotten richer than most (if not all) people who read these posts. I find that kind of statement ( if it is true and hasn't been taken out of context) probably was made for some kind of shock effect.

Not sure what your comment is all about. Gary V has made money, and we may have taken him out of context?

Seriously, give the guy credit where it is due. His comment, which I can assure you was said, and quoted in context, was dead on.

Interesting. How exactly does one take a comment like that "out of context"? It's verbatim. Well except for the fact that I took out one of the letters of the word.

Of COURSE he buys from wholesalers - in his own state. The problem being, once he adheres to the 3-tier system in HIS state he is forbidden from shipping to OTHER states purportedly because he isn't going through the 3-tier system.

For even better context, please google and read filed court documents associated with Siesta Village Market LLC v. Steen currently in the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals. The Opening Brief of the Appellants is especially enlightening.
